Applications Coming To Your Mac

I just gave it a try. Once installed, it is so easy to install new programs and applications.  Just click the new App Store icon in your dock, browse the apps, and click install, just like you do within the iTunes Store.

How To Install The Mac App Store

Getting this great feature couldn’t be easier either! All you need to do is install the latest software updates for your computer.

1) Go to the Apple icon and click on “Software Updates . . .”

2) You will see the “Checking For New Software” window:

3) You will then see the “Software Updates Available” window:

4) You will then see the “Downloading Software” window:

5) You will then be reminded that you need to restart your computer:

6) You will then see your computer installing the new software and restart.

7) Once your computer restarts and everything is up and running, go to your Dock and you will see the App Store icon:

You’re DONE !!  That is it.  you are now ready to explore your new Mac App Store.

NOTE:  I great little benefit is that the icon for the new application is automatically placed on your dock for extra convenience.

Someone contacted me recently and pointed out that Tax Time is approaching.  They wanted Turbo Tax® from Intuit or Tax Cut from H&R block®.

After further discussion, it turns out that they prefer Turbo Tax because several years ago, Turbo Tax was the only software that was able to download their stock portfolio information from their brokerage account directly into Turbo Tax.  Now, either software might offer that capability, I’ll have to check.  But your choice really depends on personal preference and what you are used to.  If you currently use Quicken, you probably prefer Turbo Tax.

There are many versions of each, depending on whether you want:
1) eFile or mail in your return.
2) Federal or Federal & State
3) Home or Home & Business

There are so many options, it does not make sense for me to put prices here.  In any case, you can use the link below to get whichever version you want and SAVE BIG MONEY.
